Granny Bingo

Join the hilarity as the old dames of drag bingo bring their signature sass to the funniest evening of bingo you’ve ever seen!

Edith Vale and Maureen McGillicuddy have been hosting Granny Bingo for over a decade - it's a hilariously inappropriate evening of bingo where bingo is the last thing on anyone’s minds.

If you're looking for fast paced, no-frills bingo then rack off. Granny Bingo runs at the pace that Edith decides it will run at, at the time Edith is deciding it will run. And fair warning: Maureen is likely to go off on a tangent and completely forget that she's supposed to be calling bingo numbers for some time.

These foul-mouthed nanas will have you falling over with laughter, unless their hips give out, then they may just beat you to the floor.

It sells out everywhere it goes so grab a ticket now! And if you're interested in booking Granny Bingo for a private or corporate booking you can get in touch with us via our contact us page.

Other shows

Not satisfied with dominating the world of bingo, Edith & Maureen have also starred in a number of their own comedy shows.

Their first show A Visit With Nan In A Caravan welcomed audiences into an actual caravan for a cup of tea while the grannies regaled them with tales of their trips around Australia. The show won the coveted Melbourne International Comedy Festival Golden Gibbo award before touring to Adelaide Fringe's Garden Of Unearthly Delights and a return Melbourne season on the prestigious Arts Centre Melbourne's forecourt.

Continuing on the theme of immersive theatre, Edith and Maureen then starred in Country Ladies at the prestigious Malthouse Theatre. The show was a meeting of the Country Ladies Association (which Edith would like to point out is a lot similar to the Country Women's Association, but we aren't b*tches), where the audience were members of the association and Edith & Maureen were running the meeting with the help of their mute sidekick Caroline Springs.

The ladies then ventured into the world of standup comedy with their show An Intimate Evening With Granny Bingo, a collection of stories from their very, very long lives. The season enjoyed sold out shows throughout its run at Comedy Republic for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and returned for an encore season at Replay Festival.

Never ones to be limited to their personal talents, the grannies then decided to star in an all singing, all dancing, cabaret extravaganza in Brave New World. In this show the grannies explored the modern world, from social media to pronouns, through their unique lens. The show featured all original songs and was accompanied by Caroline Springs on the electric organ. It took over Trades Hall as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and was again nominated for the Golden Gibbo Award.
